With over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare sector, the company works closely with the NHS to support patients in managing medical conditions from home. Headquartered in Watford, Clinisupplies combines product delivery with clinical support, ensuring customers receive the resources and information they need to manage their health with confidence. 

To strengthen its data protection practices and support sector-specific obligations, Clinisupplies engaged The DPO Centre in 2019 for ongoing outsourced DPO services.

Solutions

Following an initial compliance audit, the designated DPO supported Clinisupplies in developing GDPR-compliant data processing procedures and policies, with a particular focus on data retention and data sharing. The DPO also assisted with comprehensive Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), including those involving cloud hosting providers. Tailored guidance was delivered to embed ‘data protection by design’ into new initiatives. 

To promote awareness and build a strong compliance ethos, GDPR training was delivered to staff in both the UK and India. 

The DPO Centre also conducted a follow-up audit to reassess progress and identify emerging risks, allowing Clinisupplies to refine its data protection strategy and build on the strength of its existing compliance framework.
