The DPO Centre would like to take a moment to welcome our three new Data Protection Officer’s who joined us during the month of June – Harriet, Steven and Wayne!
Harriet, Data Protection Officer
Harriet is an enthusiastic and experienced data protection professional with a strong background in the healthcare sector. As an LL.B. Law graduate and qualified GDPR Practitioner, Harriet has over six years’ experience in working in privacy, gaining valuable expertise in all facets of the role of the Data Protection Officer. In addition, having worked in the NHS for most of her career, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge around Caldicott Guardianship and the DSPT toolkit.
Steven, Data Protection Officer
Steven holds a First Class with Honours Degree in Law (LL.B.) and is a certified Data Protection Officer with over 6 years’ experience. Steven has expertise with Data SubjectAn individual who can be identified or is identifiable from data. Access Requests, data breaches and risk assessments. He is an excellent communicator, previously being a point of contact for the ICOThe United Kingdom’s independent supervisory authority for ensuring compliance with the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations etc. for complaint investigations and data breaches. Steven is a keen learner and is always looking to stay up to date with the ever-changing climate of data protection.
Wayne, Data Protection Officer
Wayne is an experienced compliance and data protection professional. Throughout his career, Wayne has gained valuable skills including, the auditing of management systems; data breaches; reviewing remediation plans; and completing risk and impact assessments. Wayne is also a skilled trainer who creates and provides sessions covering data processing activities, legitimate interest assessments and the review of data protection impact evaluations.
