To help mark our five-year anniversary, we are very excited to announce that we have officially launched The DPO Centre’s Charity and Community Fund as of 18th of July 2022. The key purpose of the fund is to provide charities and not-for-profits (NFP) organisations with access to our data protection consultancy services, but at a rate reduced of 80%. This therefore enables them to focus their valuable financial resources on their core purpose, but still gain access the high level of expertise that we provide.
How it works
The Charity and Community Fund consists of a £100,000 pot that we have set aside, that eligible charities and NFPs can apply to for funding worth up to £10,000. If successful, the award will be used to significantly subsidise our services.
Successful applicants will be supported by our DPO team, so the services offered include:
- Compliance reviews and GAP analysis
- Policy drafting and reviews
- Conducting DPIAs
- Creating and reviewing data sharing and data processing agreements
- Data protection training for staff, volunteers and stakeholders
If you are aware of any charities or NFPs that could benefit from funding, please let them know that applications can be made via www.dpocentre.com/cc-fund, but will need to be submitted by 18th November 2022. All applications will be carefully considered by our dedicated charity panel and applicants will be notified of the outcome.
