MACC work closely with the Home Office, the MOD and similar organisations and regularly process sensitive, highly confidential data. It is essential MACC continually evolve and develop systems that ensure the highest levels of safe working and satisfaction.
Initially The DPO Centre completed a stringent data discovery exercise identifying the personal data MACC held. This was followed by a wide-ranging Impact Assessment process to create a company-wide action plan for handling the data. The plan payed particular attention to the encryption of all corporate emails.
John Morrison, Operations Manager, says : “Working with The DPO Centre has been an informative and enjoyable experience – professionalism has been demonstrated throughout the process and the work with our staff has been conducted in a thoroughly clear, concise and systematic way, with no stone left unturned.”
MACC have implemented the recommendations made by the DPO Centre. MACC now have new data protection policies and protocols in place that are continually reviewed and adhered to by its staff. The DPO Centre provided Guidance on general best practice solutions for better digital and paper security processes.
John says: “ We hold a special position in the market working closely on EOD projects with the Home Office. It’s imperative we have the safest IT systems possible with the highest levels of safeguarding and data protection. Having worked with The DPO Centre, I have complete and utter confidence in our data protection protocols and systems offering our clients the highest levels of security.”
