Eaton House Schools is a group of academic independent schools owned by Dukes Education, located in Belgravia and Clapham, London. The Schools offer single sex education to boys and girls ages 4-13, with non-selective entry at 4+.

The DPO Centre was initially contacted for support and guidance after receiving a data subject access request (DSAR), which required handling high volumes of data.

Solution

The school had previous experience of DSARs, however had not processed anything of this magnitude before. The appointed outsourced DPO offered advice to ensure the data searches were suitably truncated to narrow the initial volume.

An important aspect of The DPO Centre approach is a partnership attitude, and the DPO working on behalf of Eaton House Schools ensured the school was in control of the DSAR procedure at all times. Redaction parameters were agreed, which were then applied to the data. The final bundling exercises were completed, and the deadline was met in an organised and timely manner.
