The DPO Centre has been featured in the Charity Times, following the launch of our UK-wide survey on charity soft opt-in adoption.
The survey has been created to better understand how charities are responding to the new charity soft opt-in rules introduced under the Data Use and Access Act 2025 (DUAA). The change is aimed to give charities more flexibility when contacting individuals by email and text, provided specific conditions are met.
Dom Newton, Data Protection Officer at The DPO Centre explained that the survey findings will help to shape sector discussions around the new rule and what the sector may need to move forward with confidence.
Charities across the UK are encouraged to take part and share their experiences.
