Earlier this year, the ScaleUp Institute interviewed our CEO, Rob Masson, about how he founded The DPO Centre back in 2017 and how he has managed to grow the business ever since.
In this article, Rob talks about how the introduction of the GDPR, which created the sudden need for 15,000 DPOs in the UK (when there was only 5,000 at the time), opened up the opportunity for the creation of an outsourced service to provide for the data protection needs of thousands of UK organisations.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. “The company has doubled its revenues each year. By 2026, we will hit £39m in revenues and we are tracking that curve. We are at the start of the hockey stick.”
