The DPO Centre is very pleased to announce the latest recipients of our Charity and Community Fund.
We were delighted to receive 39 applications from Charities and Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisations throughout the UK, each showcasing a unique mission and impactful work. Following a vote by our dedicated charity panel, made up of team members from across the business, six beneficiaries were selected.
The change Foundation – TCF is on a mission to change the lives of marginalised young people through the power of sport. They have supported 250,000 individuals around the globe through innovative sports and outreach programmes, addressing issues like knife crime, social media addiction, disability inclusion, youth unemployment, and mental health.
Capability Scotland – Capability Scotland works to create a fairer society by supporting disabled people to achieve their ambitions and live independent lives. Through a combination of care, education, and employment services, they champion inclusion and challenge barriers across Scotland.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust – CACT uses the power of sport and community engagement to improve health, education, and employment outcomes for individuals across South East London and Kent. They support over 25,000 participants each year through inclusive programmes that build confidence, reduce inequality, and bring communities together.
KeyRing – Since 1990, KeyRing has empowered people to live independently by providing community-based support networks across the UK. Championing equality and inclusion, the charity helps individuals from all backgrounds build confidence, develop life skills, and connect with the community around them.
KHULISA – Khulisa delivers therapeutic programmes to disadvantaged children who are at risk of exclusion or involvement in the criminal justice system, teaching professionals, and parents/carers. Their work focuses on reducing violence, improving mental wellbeing, and supporting rehabilitation through a trauma-informed approach.
Cocaine Anonymous – Cocaine Anonymous is a fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength, and hope to help others recover from addiction. With meetings held across the UK, the charity provides a safe, supportive, and anonymous environment for anyone seeking freedom from cocaine and other mind-altering substances.
Each organisation will benefit from the expertise of The DPO Centre’s experienced data protection team, receiving hands-on support across a range of areas. This includes tailored compliance reviews, assistance with drafting policies, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and reviewing or developing data sharing and processing agreements.

The DPO Centre Charity and Community Fund runs two application rounds each year. The next round opens on 1 August 2025, with eligibility criteria including:
Successful applicants receive up to £10,000 worth of consultancy support, contributing just 20% of the standard fee. Organisations that are not selected are welcome to reapply in a future round, though only one application can be submitted within a 12-month period.
