We’re delighted to welcome David to our Data Protection OfficerAn independent data protection expert whose role includes the monitoring of internal compliance, advising on data protection obligations and acting as a contact point for data subjects and the supervisory authority.... team!
David is a qualified Data Protection Professional holding ISEB qualifications in Data Protection and Freedom of Information. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law.
He has over 10 years experience of privacy and data protection in healthcare, having worked on national Policy for NHS England and the statutory Data Protection Officer role for a large acute trust. He has expertise in NHS standards including the Data Sharing and Protection Toolkit required for all organisations working with the NHS, for which he helped develop the standards.
He has a strong interest in the ethical implications of the use of personal dataInformation which relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.... on a large scale, and the intersection between technological and organisational approaches to the effective management of personal data.
