Challenge

  • Global company
  • Complex data handling
  • 150 staff across multinational offices

Solution

Following an initial meeting with the Chief Operations Officer and Head of Compliance, the DPO Centre completed a detailed data discovery exercise and Impact Assessment of Egress’ complex data landscape, resulting in the provision of a comprehensive risk rated action plan.

Richard Green, Head of Compliance, said, “The DPO Centre’s support has been second to none.  After our initial troubleshooting meeting, we knew there would be work to do to ensure we were fully ready for the change in legislation.  It was great to have the DPO Centre staff on side during our preparations.  The DPO Centre team worked hard, both on and off site, to help us identify and address any potential issues as part of an extensive action plan.”

Outcome

Egress Software Technologies now has a General Council to ensure data protection policies and protocol are adhered to within the company.  Furthermore, the company continues to work with the DPO Centre who provide ongoing support to ensure continued GDPR compliance.

Richard said, “We’re in such a strong position with our GDPR compliance thanks to the DPO Centre.  For us GDPR compliance is not only a matter of legality, it’s imperative for business continuity and development.  We have a clear strategy and approach to make sure our company’s monitoring and application of privacy policies and notices are secure.  I look forward to managing Egress’ ongoing compliance to ensure the present and future security of our customers’ data.”
